In early 2008, after years of research and development, Ryan Gustafson introduced a never before seen technology to the two-piece projection industry called Black Diamond^®. Little did he know that he would literally be changing the entire landscape of projection for the first time in over 100 years. Black Diamond^® was created because of the inherent challenged associated with projecting in a bright environment, i.e. losing all your contrast. In it’s initial phase, Black Diamond^® produced in only a .8 gain material and with it’s ambient light rejection and black color, customers could now enjoy 900% greater contrast over matte-white and literally “step out of the darkroom.”
